To be quite honest I can't really remember my 1st anime. I saw these 3 anime 1st on the television, Cardcaptor Sakura, Saber Marionette, Rurouni Kenshin. I watched these when I was young without even realising that it was anime(probably because it was in english so I thought it was a cartoon like any others). I can't even remember which 1 of these series I watched 1st.
This 1st time when I actually began to be aware of anime was when my bro borrowed Evangelion complete with Jap. voices and subs. Its was then I learned of anime, and my interest in them started to grow till this day.
These are just my summaries of the anime.
Cardcaptor Sakura
A elementary schoolgirl named Sakura and she accidentily releases magic cards that was sealed in a book in her basement. These cards if left unchecked will wreak havoc in the town which she lives in. She is given the title Cardcaptor by the card's guardian Keruberos and must recapture all the cards before they cause any damage to the city.
Saber Marionette
The world in which the anime takes place in is a world devoid of females and the people survive by cloning the next generation. Because the planet is populated by men eventually they invented marionettes, robots made to look like human girls but like robots only responds to given commands.
The main protagonist Hotaru Mamiya is an average youth who accidently got washed downstream in a river and stumbles across a sleeping marionette. He somehow awakens the marionette who takes a liking to him but its seems this particular marionette has a mind of her own unlike other marionette.
Rurouni Kenshin
The setting takes place in Japan just as the Meiji Era was starting. It follows a wandering clutsy swordsman as he encounters a swordswoman who accuses him of being Battousai, a legendary slasher who helped establish order in the Meiji Era but now is just randomly killing. Eventually after seeing his clutsiness and his reversed-edged sword she dismisses him as an ordinary wanderer however looks can be deceiving.
Welcome to My Blog. I am a great fan of Japanese Culture. I played loads of english translated VNs, seen a buck load of anime, and read so much manga that I can't even remember some of them. Also, I'm a sucker for good romance ^0^. Note I am rather lazy so I don't do regular post anyway

Starting Point
Well since this is my 1st post I guess I'll start with some recent Visual Novels and manga.
Visual Novels
Ef a fairy tale of the two - This game is made by Minori and not many VNs out there could top this 1 in terms of story and art (depends on the person's taste of course ^0^). This game tells of 2 different protagonist and heroines and their stories on how they met, their troubles and love. This VN is 1 of the masterpieces made by Minori. If you love a good story then this game is for you. It not only features a unique and heartwarming storyline, but excellent graphics, sound and music.
Aiyoku no Eustia - This game is made by August and from the trial it pique my interest, this game's unique storyline can keep players on the edge of suspense. It tells of a Kingdom that has been suspended into the air away from the decaying world and the protagonist is an ex-assassin living in what people call "The Prison" where the area is considered a lawless area. (Note: only the trial has been translated currently and since the trial is free, anyone can download from August's website and patch it with Yandere's patch
Manga
Mx0 - Watch how a boy who failed his entrance exam try to sneak into the school of his choice. However the school he is sneaking into is not a normal school but a school of magic. After a series of hilarious events he is mistaken for a student with excellent magic grades surpassing any normal student when he is really just a powerless person with no magic. Eventually he is admitted into the school however he must keep up his guise as an excellent student since his status depends on in.
